Lara Logan
Lara Logan (born 29/03/71) is an South African television, radio and war reporter. She was a CBS News correspondent from 2002 to 2018.60 Minutes executive producer Jeff Fager described her factually incorrect, politcally biased story in 2012 Benghazi as "the most regrettable mistake I've made in the past 10 years." In the year 2019 she joined Sinclair Broadcast Group, a conservative media company. In January 2020 she joined Fox Nation, a subscription streaming service run by Fox News. She stated she was "dumpedby the company in March 2022. Logan was an editor for the Sunday Tribune in Durban during her studies (1988-1989) and later in the city's Daily News (1990-1992). In 1992 she was hired by Reuters Television in Africa, predominantly as a senior producer. After four years of service, she began freelance journalism. Reporter, editor and producer assignments for ITN, Fox/SKY News, CBS News (in London), ABC News (in Nairobi), NBC and European Broadcasting Union were all given to her. She worked for CNN covering events like the 1998 United States embassy bombings in Nairobi and Tanzania, the conflict in Northern Ireland, and the Kosovo conflict.
