Barbara Ann Corcoran

 Barbara Ann Corcoran (born March 10 1949) is an American businesswoman investor, speaker, consultant, syndicated columnist, television host, and author. In 2001, she launched The Corcoran Group in New York City. She later sold the company to NRT for $66 millions. In the following months, she exited from the company. Corcoran is one of ABC’s first Shark Tank investors. To date she has appeared in every 12 seasons of Shark Tank. As of February 2020, she had signed 53 deals with the show, the largest one being $350,000 in 40% of Coverplay. Corcoran was the second in the family of 10 children and was raised in Edgewater. Florence Corcoran was Florence's mom and was a homemaker. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. her father was a multi-talented worker throughout the years of Corcoran's childhood. Her family sometimes relied on free delivery of food from a nearby supermarket. Corcoran recalls her father as one who occasionally was a drinker and was rude to her mother and condescension, particularly after he'd consumed alcohol. Corcoran struggled through her schooling and was later diagnosed with dyslexia. Corcoran entered high school at St. Cecilia High School Englewood following her time at a Catholic primary school. Corcoran was proficient in a variety of classes during her freshman year. She was transferred to Leonia High School and graduated with a grade of D.
